From
the Battlefield to the Boardroom: Essayon Construction Group's Story Gets
Featured in Veteran Owned & Business Life Magazine
At Essayon Construction Group, we
have always believed that the values forged in military service — discipline,
integrity, mission-focus, and a relentless commitment to excellence — translate
directly to building some of the finest structures in the Southeast. Today, we
are proud to share that this belief has been recognized on a national stage.
We are honored to be featured in
Issue 2 of Veteran Owned & Business Life Magazine, spotlighted by I Will
Survive, Inc., an Atlanta-based nonprofit dedicated to supporting breast cancer
survivors and their families. The feature highlights the journey, growth, and
community impact of Essayon Construction Group and our Founder and CEO, Israel
Brown.
Essayon Construction Group CEO Israel Brown featured in Veteran Owned Business Life Magazine Issue 2
A Veteran's Vision, A Company's Mission
Israel Brown did not stumble into
the construction industry. He built his way into it methodically,
intentionally, and with the precision of a decorated military officer. As the
former Director of Engineering for the Georgia Army National Guard, Israel
developed a deep expertise in large-scale project management, logistics, and
team leadership. When he transitioned to the private sector, he channeled those
skills into founding Essayon Construction Group, a certified Service-Disabled
Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB), 8(a), and Minority Business Enterprise
(MBE) based in Marietta, Georgia.
The company specializes in
multifamily and commercial construction across the Southeast, guided by Lean
building principles designed to maximize efficiency, minimize waste, and
deliver exceptional results for every client. From the ground up, Essayon has
been built on Israel's INSPIRE values, Integrity, Innovation, Safety,
Perseverance, Impact, Respect, and Excellence, values that echo his military
heritage and define every project the team undertakes.
"Israel Brown represents
the intersection of service and success. As a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned
Small Business (SDVOSB) leader, he isn't just building structures; he's
building community."
— Anisa Palmer, CEO of I Will Survive,
Inc.
Explosive Growth Rooted in Purpose
The numbers tell one part of the
story. Essayon Construction Group recently secured the No. 119 spot on Inc.
Magazine's 2024 list of the Southeast Region's Fastest-Growing Private
Companies, achieving a remarkable 166% growth rate. In a competitive industry
where many companies struggle to sustain momentum, Essayon's trajectory stands
as a testament to what purposeful leadership and operational excellence can
produce.
But behind every percentage point
of growth is a team of dedicated professionals who show up every day committed
to delivering results. Our excellent safety record is not an accident. It is the
direct result of a culture that treats every worker on every job site as a
valued member of the mission. Safety is not a checkbox at Essayon; it is a core
value, embedded in everything we do.
2025 Cobb Chamber Veteran-Owned Business of the Year
In addition to our Inc. Magazine
ranking, Essayon Construction Group was recently honored as the 2025 Cobb
Chamber Veteran-Owned Business of the Year. This recognition from our local
business community reflects not just our growth, but our commitment to being a
responsible, values-driven corporate citizen in the Greater Atlanta area.
For us, this award is about more
than a plaque on the wall. It is a reminder of why we do what we do: to serve,
to build, and to make a lasting impact on the communities where we live and
work.
