The redevelopment will be comprised of one-, two- and three-bedroom units, providing quality housing for residents across all income levels. Sweet Auburn Grande is a transformative mixed-use development bringing 109 new affordable and market-rate apartments, 8,700 square feet of commercial space, and structured parking to the heart of historic Auburn Avenue in downtown Atlanta. Phase one of the $56 million project, led by Butler Street CDC, Gorman & Company, and Red Rock Global, aims to revitalize long-neglected corners and incorporate the restoration of the historic 229 Auburn building. With a 23-month construction schedule underway, Sweet Auburn Grande is set to deliver housing, community space, and renewed energy to a culturally significant corridor by fall 2026.
